Takeout Export Reconstructor · local-first software · version 1.0.0

Rebuild split exports without silent overwrites.

The workflow

From source file to a decision you can defend.

The product stays on your device, makes uncertainty visible, and produces only the output you deliberately request.

01

Select the sequence

Choose every related ZIP and state whether it is one export or a base-plus-incremental sequence.

02

Review before writing

See missing parts, unreadable archives, byte-identical repeats, content conflicts, sidecars, and path collisions.

03

Reconstruct with evidence

Write to a newly created folder with CRC/SHA-256 checks and a resumable audit, or use the bounded ZIP fallback.

Why this exists

More than opening an archive.

The paid release packages a bounded, repeatable workflow with integrity evidence, truthful limits, and a recovery/support route.

01

No last-write-wins surprise

Keep all, earliest, newest, or skip decisions are explicit for every real content conflict.

02

Immutable provenance

Source fingerprints, output hashes, timestamps, export roles, decisions, and skipped items remain auditable.

03

Sidecars stay non-destructive

Exact media-to-JSON matches create a separate ordered augmentation history; originals are never rewritten.

Compatibility

Choose the supported path.

The supported path is explicit, so you can decide quickly and get the right fit.

Supported in this release

  • Google Takeout ZIP/ZIP64 using Stored or Deflate entries; one-time multipart and declared base-plus-incremental sequences.
  • Numbered-part gaps, unreadable parts, duplicate/conflict proof, portable path collisions, and exact Photos sidecar pairing.
  • Chrome 151 on macOS 26.5 from the extracted local folder is acceptance-tested; no local server is required.
  • Streamed directory output with resume where File System Access is available; ≤512 MiB/60,000-file ZIP fallback.

Compatibility boundary

  • TGZ reconstruction, encrypted or spanned ZIP, proprietary compression, links, devices, and unsafe paths.
  • Deletion inference, guaranteed incremental completeness, ambiguous sidecar matching, EXIF rewriting, or cloud import.
  • Full directory writing in Safari/Firefox; only the bounded download path may work there.
  • Verified runtime: Chrome 151 on macOS 26.5. Other browsers, operating systems, and deployed/offline variants need their own acceptance check.
  • Setting filesystem modified time through browser directory output; timestamps remain in the audit.

Scope note: Google does not publish an embedded total-part or deletion-tombstone manifest for this workflow. Filename-derived cadence and ordering warnings are labelled as inference, never proof.

After purchase

Open, verify, and keep working locally.

  1. Complete Stripe-hosted checkout. The success page and purchase email expose the same verified release.
  2. Download the ZIP, compare the displayed SHA-256, and extract the complete folder.
  3. Follow the included README for the supported environment. Do not move individual files out of the extracted folder.
  4. If the link expires, request recovery below; the service sends a new private expiring link only for a matching paid order.

Questions

Clear before checkout.

Do my source files leave my computer?

No. The shipped product has no customer-file upload path. Stripe receives payment/contact fields; the fulfillment service receives Stripe identifiers and the checkout email for delivery/recovery. Neither receives the archive or diagnostic source you open in the product.

What if I change my mind or the product is not compatible?

You may withdraw for any reason within 30 days through the online withdrawal page, including after download. Separately, if the published supported workflow does not work, contact support within 30 days for one reasonable troubleshooting attempt or a full refund. Neither policy limits mandatory consumer rights.

What does the one-time license cover?

One named user may use the purchased version with files they own or are authorized to process. The purchase is not a subscription and does not grant access to accounts, systems, or third-party data.

Can I safely share every generated report?

No automated privacy detector is a guarantee. Review every report or derivative before disclosure, and share it only when you have authority. The product reduces avoidable exposure; it cannot understand every custom secret or context.
