- Supervisor backup metadata v1/v2 with backup.json or legacy snapshot.json.
- Unprotected nested TAR plus SecureTar v1/v2 and authenticated v3 nested archives.
- Path and UTF-8 text search, JSON/text preview, SHA-256 comparison, and selected extraction.
- Accepted in Chrome 151 on macOS with Web Crypto, WebAssembly, Blob streams, and gzip DecompressionStream.
- Verified runtime: Chrome 151 on macOS. Other desktop browsers and Windows/Linux sit outside this release's tested matrix.
Compatibility boundary
- Restoring, modifying, repacking, or executing anything from a backup.
- Password recovery or bypassing encryption.
- A guarantee that Home Assistant can restore every integration or external dependency.
- Legacy v1/v2 encrypted components above the documented 512 MiB browser-crypto ceiling.
Scope note: Selected extraction is capped at 1 GiB and ZIP32/65,535 files. Text indexing is capped per file. Read the included compatibility matrix before relying on very large backups.

Clear before checkout.
Do my source files leave my computer?
No. The shipped product has no customer-file upload path. Stripe receives payment/contact fields; the fulfillment service receives Stripe identifiers and the checkout email for delivery/recovery. Neither receives the archive or diagnostic source you open in the product.
What if I change my mind or the product is not compatible?
You may withdraw for any reason within 30 days through the online withdrawal page, including after download. Separately, if the published supported workflow does not work, contact support within 30 days for one reasonable troubleshooting attempt or a full refund. Neither policy limits mandatory consumer rights.
What does the one-time license cover?
One named user may use the purchased version with files they own or are authorized to process. The purchase is not a subscription and does not grant access to accounts, systems, or third-party data.
Can I safely share every generated report?
No automated privacy detector is a guarantee. Review every report or derivative before disclosure, and share it only when you have authority. The product reduces avoidable exposure; it cannot understand every custom secret or context.
