NAS Diagnostic Export Inspector · local-first software · version 0.1.0

Make sync and support evidence reviewable.

When a NAS support export records sync failures, integrity or hash warnings, or connection trouble, inspect it locally, connect recurring signals to exact source lines, inventory privacy risks, and create a text-only safe-share derivative. The documented Synology Drive Admin Console UTF-8 CSV path is supported; proprietary DSM/SRM debug.dat formats are not.

The workflow

From source file to a decision you can defend.

The product stays on your device, makes uncertainty visible, and produces only the output you deliberately request.

01

Open or try the demo

Choose an authorized file/archive, or use the synthetic demo to confirm browser capabilities first.

02

Trace the incident

Filter categorized signals, timelines, recurring groups, privacy types, and exact source evidence.

03

Export deliberately

Create a self-contained evidence report or an opaque-path, text-only safe-share ZIP after review.

Why this exists

More than opening an archive.

The paid release packages a bounded, repeatable workflow with integrity evidence, truthful limits, and a recovery/support route.

01

Correlation, not archive display

Recurring failures, warnings, crashes, and system events remain linked to source path and line.

02

Privacy before sharing

Masked inventories show why a package may be sensitive before a derivative is created.

03

Fail-closed containers

TAR, gzip, ZIP, nesting, checksum, entry, size, ratio, path, and special-file controls are explicit.

Compatibility

Choose the supported path.

The supported path is explicit, so you can decide quickly and get the right fit.

Supported in this release

  • Recognized TAR, gzip/TAR or gzip/text, standard ZIP32, readable logs/text, and nested archives to depth two.
  • Synology Drive Admin Console UTF-8 CSV exports with the documented ten-column header and UTC Date Time values, processed as plain text.
  • Deterministic problem categories, severity, uncertain timestamps, recurring groups, and indexed search.
  • Sync, backup, connection, and integrity wording stays linked to the exact source lines that triggered it.
  • Self-contained local report plus text-only safe-share ZIP with generated paths and change manifest.
  • Verified on Chrome 151/macOS; targets current desktop browsers with the listed Web APIs.

Compatibility boundary

  • Opaque or encrypted debug.dat, ZIP64, multipart/encrypted ZIP, RAR, 7z, and unsupported methods.
  • Live NAS access, authentication, decryption, remediation, or automatic support upload.
  • Binary redaction or a guarantee that every sensitive value is found.
  • A real DSM/SRM-format compatibility claim; release fixtures are independently created and synthetic.

Scope note: Maximum selected source is 512 MiB, 25,000 entries, 384 MiB aggregate expansion, and nesting depth two. Automated interpretation and redaction are aids for human review, not diagnosis or disclosure guarantees.

Questions

Clear before checkout.

Do my source files leave my computer?

No. The shipped product has no customer-file upload path. Stripe receives payment/contact fields; the fulfillment service receives Stripe identifiers and the checkout email for delivery/recovery. Neither receives the archive or diagnostic source you open in the product.

What if I change my mind or the product is not compatible?

You may withdraw for any reason within 30 days through the online withdrawal page, including after download. Separately, if the published supported workflow does not work, contact support within 30 days for one reasonable troubleshooting attempt or a full refund. Neither policy limits mandatory consumer rights.

What does the one-time license cover?

One named user may use the purchased version with files they own or are authorized to process. The purchase is not a subscription and does not grant access to accounts, systems, or third-party data.

Can I safely share every generated report?

No automated privacy detector is a guarantee. Review every report or derivative before disclosure, and share it only when you have authority. The product reduces avoidable exposure; it cannot understand every custom secret or context.
